Global Education Day at ISTE 2018

Join us online or in person at the 2018 International Society for Technology in Education Conference (ISTE) in Chicago, Illinois! Steve Hargadon and Lucy Gray will be hosting the 7th Annual Global Education Day meet up at the conference.

Global Education Day is brought to you by EdTech4Good , Qatar Foundation International, and TakingITGlobal; it will take place on Sunday, June 24th from 2-5 PM. Directions for joining this event are available here. The event is currently at capacity, but there is a waiting list and ISTE will release any unclaimed spots at 2:05 PM that day to those waiting in line outside the venue door.

If you cannot attend this event in person, watch some of the proceedings streamed on our Facebook page and follow all the action on Twitter via the hashtag #globaled18. Everyone is also welcome to join this portal from Participate which contains our agenda, global education resources, and opportunities for networking: go.participate.com/global-ed-day-18. 

Steve Hargadon and Lucy Gray and will be hosting a poster session about the GEC following the opening keynote. Please come by Table 20 and say hello if you are at ISTE!

  • The Global Education Conference is a free, online event that takes place around the clock during International Education Week. It is now completed for 2017, but you can view the recorded sessions hereThe call for proposals for our next conference will open on August 1, 2018.
  • Certificates for presenters and volunteers who requested certificates by our deadline are now available in this folder. Additionally, certificates are available for those who played our professional development game and earned at least 300 points.
