2013-2014 Global iBook Series, Book #2: Schools Around The World

As part of the first grade curriculum at Avenues: The World School, the students learn about their school and compare it to other schools around the world.  Our students would LOVE to see what other schools and first grade classrooms look like around the world.

As part of our Global iBook series, we are looking for other first grade* classrooms to help author a global iBook about schools around the world using the Book Creator app. We want to demonstrate how first grade classrooms around the world can come together to publish something unique and creative, while learning from each other at the same time! Once the book is compiled, we will be publishing it to the iBook store so that students everywhere can learn about schools around the world!

If you are interested in authoring this global iBook, please fill in the form below to submit a page that you and/or your students made with the Book Creator app.

*We recognize that in different parts of the world, grade/age levels in schools may be called something different. Therefore, we are specifically looking for classrooms with students that are 6-7 years of age (first grade in the USA).

To have your pages published in our iBook store version, please send us your pages by February 7, 2014.

THANK YOU for being a part of this global authoring project! If you have any questions, please email us at GlobalBook@avenues.org

You can download the Book Creator for iPad app at
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/book-creator-for-ipad/id442378070?mt=8

Please fill out the form using the link below:

Thanks Jasmine! We are looking forward to receiving your completed pages!

Hi Kristen when is the last date to it?

Hi Sonali,

Thanks for inquiring! I posted an example of what 2 pages could look like on the form. It is not intended for each student to do a page. We want the 2 pages to be from each classroom.  We are asking that you submit the completed pages by February 7th!

If you have any other questions, please let me know:)
