Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum):
The purpose of the presentations is to describe the benefits and actions of connecting classroom content to life skills and social acceptance. In the growing age of social competency and digital literacy there are more reasons to invest in education. Not all education is created equal and much of what is carried into adult life is taught at home. A4Edu, Inc intends to connect the benefits of life long learning to success in the Global economy. Our interdependence on resources, boundless interactions through gaming and social platforms, as well as our historical influence and media awareness will continue to challenge us to overcome the barriers to learning. This session will highlight key elements of what social gaming and pedagogy have in common. Introduce ideas for creating a link between individuals who have the most to gain from learning and the tools available to best serve their learning. The presentation will conclude with a sample personal learning plan to engage participants in discovering more about life long learning.
