Hi Maureen -

Can you edit this proposal and elaborate on what you're going to cover or uncover? The full description should be a little more detailed in order to entice participants!

Lucy Gray

Thanks Lucy.  Perhaps you can give a pointer or two.  I want my students to be more involved with global education and a global view point, but time remains the issue when teaching young children--we have so many standards to meet, standards that can limit our global outreach---or enrich it (I'm thinking aloud right now), I guess I'm realizing that I could reframe this to something like Embedding the Common Core Standards into lessons that build global connections and understanding for young children.  Thoughts?  Thanks for helping me to tease this out.  - Maureen

I think your original idea is fine, but there simply is not enough information for people to figure out what the conversation is going to be about. Remember, Common Core is a US thing so people from other countries may have no interest in a session that is focused on that, although I think it's fine to touch on it in a session. Based on your comments, maybe you should go with something like "How to Globalize Your Busy Classroom" or something like that and you could make it clear that you're inviting people to a conversation to share ideas, that you may not have all the answers. Maybe it's a brainstorming session of some type?

Does this help?!?
