This is the mailing list for members of the 2014 International Advisory Board for the Global Education Conference. Please join this group to be kept updated of conference happenings, and make sure to sign up here to have your name listed on our site.

Anyone can apply to be a member of the outreach and advisory board. Advisory board members are recognized on the website and are asked to do any of the following activities:

  • Actively promote both participation and attendance at the conference.
  • Host in person viewing parties in your school or workplace.
  • Help us find additional partner organizations in their region(s).
    • Encourage non-profits and NGOs with a global focus to present their work at GlobalEdCon and to partner with us
    • Ask potential partner organizations to post digital flyers to their networks and social media channels.
  • If possible, help moderate sessions during the actual conference.
    • Also, feel free to answer any questions posed in the chat on the front page of our web site.
    • Sign up for volunteer duties will begin in late October.

As a conference that is focused on being "inclusive," our desire is to help a broad audience see themselves as full participants and presenters, not just the audience.

To sign up for the advisory board:

  1. Please make sure you have joined the globaleducationconference.com network, and then, first, join the outreach and advisory board group here.
  2. Second, after (and only after!) you have joined this group, please go HERE to give us the details for your listing on the advisor page. In order for your name to be listed on the Advisory Board page, you must fill out the form at that link. The page is updated every week or two, so there may be a short delay in your name appearing.

The main reasons for researchers and stakeholders to participate in  conferences are

  • to get informed about the state-of-the-art
  • to present their own research, and get reactions from peers
  • to have their paper published in the conference proceedings
  • to meet others working in the same domain
