This space was created to continue the conversation about collaborative global education projects that began in the Global Education Welcome and Convocation session.
We asked you the following questions:
What do you want to do?
How will you accomplish this?
What help do you need from the community?
And here's what you said...
Does anyone use online courses right now that they are implementing in their classes?
How about creating a MOOC of Global Education solely for that purpose?
Teaching geography, having people share their culture, language, etc.?
One platform for K-12 MOOCs that teachers/school districts can opt into when there is a course covering a particular concept, etc...it will be a natural and easy way for students to connect from all over the world and help one another out.
When I have taken classes on Coursera, I engage in conversations with people all over the globe!
The infrastructure is there for MOOCs. We need to make sure that we follow best practices and get the word out a global level. And get key figures, not just from education, to participate, share, and learn.
Free or low cost tools
There is also Coursera online where anyone can take a course. It really helps to have everyone learn more.
Please use this group to continue collaborating, inspiring your peers in global education, and leading action in your communities.
