Bringing the Maijuna to Millbrook: How Global Citizenship Inspires Local Stewardship

Today’s globalized society has us asking, “What does local stewardship look like in the 21st century?” To answer this question, we developed a partnership between teachers and the indigenous Maijuna-Kichwa people of Peru. Through scientific research, capacity building, reciprocity, and cultural exchange, teachers were able to provide students with an instructional model of global citizenship.
