How virtual reality games can be used in the classroom to increase global learning engagement and collaboration

Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

I will be sharing my journey from being an aspiring anime artist to bioengineering/pre-med and then to design/interactive media through designing and developing my own biology-inspired educational virtual reality game (

Throughout my experience as a student for 17 years, I realize that my peers and I learn the best by playing a game instead of reading textbooks and listening to lectures. I felt like the education system can be improved so I decided to combine my passion for game design/virtual reality and motivation to improve the education system by creating virtual reality games that would be helpful to the classrooms around the world.

In my presentation, I’ll also be showing some of my other art and projects that I’ve done along the way that shaped my career path and passion for combining art and technology which are shaped around global education.

I hope to inspire students and educators to explore their creativity and create products that make a positive impact on society. I also want to motivate educators to think about how games can be used to engage their students in the classroom to increase global competency and collaboration and apply that.
