Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

This session aims to share our journey and encourage others to take the step toward building connections in their community and on a global scale. We have connected many educators and others involved in the field. We will share the core goals of what we have done and continue to do; outline the process we followed; share with you how we overcame any hiccoughs and what our next steps are.

Our history follows:

Born of the idea to bring Community Management to Education, it started as a single Connected Educator Appreciation Day on the 20th of October, 2018. It was a conference designed to bring together connected educators and celebrate them through 8 hours of live-streamed conversations. This allowed for round table discussions on various topics about, among other things, how educators are using technology in the classroom so that they can share and learn from each other.

People participated by joining an on-air panel for an hour, by just watching or engaging with us via Twitter. We wanted that day, the 20th of October, to be about teachers in the classrooms and celebrating their leadership by sharing it and inspiring others. The event brought teachers together from 6 continents.

Since that day, #CEduAD has grown into an online platform that hosts monthly meetups: #CEMM and connects teachers around the globe throughout the year.

Our second annual event, on the 19th of October 2019, again brought together teachers from six continents; impressions on Twitter alone exceded 50000, for the day of the event and the following day.

I have been involved in conference promotion and host and panelist selection. I am the lead with social media outreach and promotion, and video editing.Websites / URLs Associated with Your Session:
