Dear GEC Members:

We are less than a month away from our next big event at ISTE, Global Education Day. We're are thrilled to confirm the participation of many ignite speakers and roundtable discussion facilitators, including those from Google's Expeditions team!  Our schedule and agenda is posted here:

Please register for this event ONLY IF you will be in Denver, Colorado on June 26th and would like to attend. Here is a digital flyer for passing along to others who might be interested in this event.

Here are a couple of important reminders related to Global Education Day:

  • This is not a virtual event; it is a face-to-face meeting in Denver, Colorado USA. If you are not able to travel to the United States on June 26th, please cancel your reservation. We do not provide any travel assistance.
  • If you are indeed attending Global Education Day and you'd like to bring friends, please make sure to register them as soon as possible. Spaces are very limited and we expect to registration to fill up between now and the start of the ISTE conference.
  • If you are unable to attend for any reason, please do us the courtesy of canceling your reservation. Visit your Eventbrite account to do this, or email Lucy at It is important that you release your seat if your plans change so that others can attend in your place.
  • Tweet about Global Education Day using the hashtag #globaled16.
  • GEC leadership team member Julie Lindsay is seeking people to attend and present at the Global Learning Playground at the ISTE conference.
