Dear GEC Members,

In case you missed our recent news (https://www.globaleducationconference.org/forum/topics/termination-...), the Global Education Conference Network main site will be sunsetted in August 2021 unless funding and active partners come forward. Please take the time to browse the hundreds (https://www.globaleducationconference.org/page/the-global-education...) of conference recordings and download any files you wish to preserve in the coming months. Our archives really are a treasure trove of information for global educators. Again, thank you to all the presenters and volunteers who have participated in our events over the last 10 years.

In other news, I serve as an ambassador for Hundred.org (https://hundred.org/en) and I'm passing along information about an upcoming film festival hosted by Hundred and other organizations:

This is Our Chance Film Festival (https://our-chance.com/about/) is a free virtual film festival about the intersection race, education, and youth empowerment. It opens 10/6 and closes 10/27. A group of education orgs came together during COVID to try to spark a new way of thinking about the future of education, one that is designed for equity and youth empowerment. Please consider going to the festival page below to register, and share this opportunity with any and all educators, youth, and friends in your network.

Take care,
Lucy Gray Global Education Conference Network Co-Founder lucy@globaledevents.com
