Smartphone and tablet micro-course development standards, techniques, tips, and tricks.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

With the explosion of online education, various modalities have popped up and seemingly taken over… or at least attempted to wiggle themselves into a position of dominance.  What educators and researchers alike have found - is this… technology and development routines cannot be taken lightly nor can they be careless in propagating their courseware in public.  Poor quality – un-researched course offerings on both smartphones and tablets produce confused and careless dependency by ill-prepared teachers and administrators.

This session will cover current research focusing on micro-course development standards, what works and what does not work, and will discuss the uses of smartphone and tablet micro-course development as a function of the grade-level and subject matter. Participants will be exposed to tested strategy on the development process of micro-courses as well as the practical and personal qualitative assessments completed to date. Participants will leave the session with a well-grounded foundation to develop a micro-course… from scratch, knowing the elements that he/she need to consider prior to public usage!

Dear Peter -

Thank you for your proposal. Please edit this (use the OPTION button on this page) and add language that indicates alignment with our mission: http://www.globaleducationconference.com/notes/The_GEC_Mission_Stat.... This is not an educational technology conference.

Also, unless you are affiliated with the IEARN organization, please remove this tag as this is for sessions that are put forth by iEARN members. When you've made your edits, please let me know and I'll take another look!
