This presentation will share the global literacy project Walk a Day in My Shoes: Cultivating Cross-Cultural Understanding through Digital Literacy that has taken place in classrooms around the world to provide a starting point for teachers to find ways to cultivate cross-cultural understanding between elementary age students.

This presentation will share the global literacy project Walk a Day in My Shoes: Cultivating Cross-Cultural Understanding through Digital Literacy that has taken place in classrooms around the world to provide a starting point for teachers to find ways to cultivate cross-cultural understanding between elementary age students. Participants will explore the importance of globalizing curriculum, actively engage with the digital stories of students from around the world (participants will see, hear student voices, and watch student stories from other countries) and learn how this can be done in their classrooms through lesson plans and curriculum ideas.
