Here are your GEC reminders for the day!
-If you have co-presenters, you need to forward to them any information that we provide for presenters. The lead presenters are the persons who submitted the original proposal and they need to communicate with their co-presenters.
-Acceptance emails were sent to every accepted lead presenter through our platform’s messaging systems which also sends it to the presenter’s email address. If you do not know how to schedule your session, please look for this email. You can also find it when logged into the GEC in your INBOX. Look underneath the banner on the front page of the GEC; you should see your name, inbox, alerts, friends, and settings there.
-We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for you to be prepared. Please review the training material here: https://learningrevolution.com/page/conference-2-0-training and consider attending one of the two remaining training sessions: 6 PM Sunday or 9 AM Monday EST (GMT-5). You are also welcome to practice in the training room when trainings are not taking place. This is the link to the training room: https://sas.elluminate.com/d.jnlp?password=LRPart1&sid=2008350.
-Steve will be sending out the moderator links to presenters today. These are links that give presenters the ability to manage their Blackboard Collaborate rooms. We do not want attendees to have these privileges, so DO NOT give out your moderator link to attendees. It’s fine for co-presenters to have it. We send out these links right before the conference so that presenters have less of an opportunity to record in their rooms accidentally. :)
-Tonight or tomorrow morning, Steve will be sending out the PUBLIC link to registrants. Attendees must be registered in order to receive the links to sessions. If you are looking to publicize your session, encourage people to register so that they will have the link. Here is the link to register: http://bit.ly/GEC2019register. You can also send friends and colleagues this flyer: https://www.smore.com/y6avb-the-globaledcon-attendee-guide

Thanks and see you online soon!
Hi Lucy, thanks!
I would like to upload slides to MyPage as suggested but can't see how.
Maybe someone can tell me what I'm overlooking?
Try using the OPTIONS button on your page to edit your proposal. Let me know when you've finished so that I can move your proposal back into the accepted category. Editing will bounce proposals into the introductions category!
Still would love to know. Lucy is busy, maybe someone else can advise?
Would love to know what, Penelope? Did you see my reply?
Hi Lucy, my question was "I would like to upload slides to MyPage as suggested but can't see how. Maybe someone can tell me what I'm overlooking?"
You answered"Try using the OPTIONS button on your page to edit your proposal. Let me know when you've finished so that I can move your proposal back into the accepted category. Editing will bounce proposals into the introductions category!
but that didn't seem to be addressing my question, so I thought maybe you were answering someone else. Weren't you?
Hi again -
Are you talking about uploading your slides to your BBC room? When you referred to "MyPage", I thought you were referring to your profile on the GEC or to your accepted proposal page.
If you are referring to your BBC room, there's a button that allows you to upload your slides, and it was covered during the training. All the training information, including specifics about slides, is located here: http://learningrevolution.com/page/conference-2-0-training
No, your first thought was right Lucy, at least I believe so. I was following your checklist of things to do in the week before....
My presentation was not moved from the accepted catagory, to mty knowledge, that's why I thought your answer was for someone else on the discussion board.
