Dear Advisory Board Members,

You are receiving this email because at some point you signed up to serve on the advisory board for our annual free, online Global Education Conference! This group has been a bit dormant and Steve Hargadon and I are working on updating the advisory board page within our community and on involving you all more with our conference!
Our expectations for board members are any or all of the following:
1) We hope that you will promote the conference to your networks. This means using email and social media to send publicity materials to your networks. Attached is a Google Doc with sample tweets, links to social media images etc.
2) We hope that you will submit a session to the conference if you have not done so already. The call for proposals ends Sunday, November 5th.

3) We hope that you will consider moderating conference sessions. This is a great way to get to know others and to lend support to fellow global educators. We especially need help during US overnight hours so that Steve and I can get a bit of rest as we typically are online at least 15 hours a day during the conference. Please join our volunteer group if you are able and willing to help us out: Certificates will be available after the conference for volunteers.
4) Please consider joining our board group within the community as well in order to network with one another.
In other news, you should know that we are now an official non-profit as part of a strategic alliance with TakingITGlobal. The executive director of TakingITGlobal, Michael Furdyk, will be our opening keynote speaker on November 13th. We're thrilled about this new partnership!
We also are going to be hosting our Leadership Summit in partnership with ASCD in Boston, Mass., on March 23, 2018. More details will be forthcoming.
Take care, and please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your support!
