The Asia Society has again created a terrific opportunity for schools to think about how to create global citizens through a variety of activities.
I was pleased to be invited to present two sessions, both nearly filled to capacity this year.
My PPT slides are posted at: http://scr.bi/q06fbT
(The slides show some of what I showed live from the Internet.)

We invited teachers to show us how ePals has opened the world for their students. Applicants each submitted projects that they had successfully implemented in their classrooms, examples of student work, and a video application, telling us what ePals brought to their teaching and to their students’ learning. Outstanding entries came from all corners of the world, inspiring us with amazing projects, successful collaborations, and enthusiastic students. The winning…

One of ePals' partners, Snagfilms, is looking for some input from teachers. Your help would be needed to complete a short survey, and if possible to join an online focus group. Learn more at…

Dear Dr. Rita Oates,
Thanks for the warm welcome, and for the information. I visited ePal a couple of times, and I find it very resourceful.
Evans.
Dr. Oates,
What a wonderful serendipity that you once taught at Harmon! Thank you for your response to my query and the information you provided. It will take me a bit of time to explore and grow more comfortable with using each resource and application.
I hope to stay in touch and share with you what I've learned and also get used to the various sites and streamline and enhance my teaching.
Thanks,
Shannon
It's great to hear that you and your children had such a great experience with IB!
We received the stacks of paperwork required to join the IBvc and it is taking our headmaster a while to look through it. BUT we are really looking forward to participating!
Thanks for your note! Aloha, Diane
After a long absence from the GEC, I've recently returned and immediately noticed your upcoming ePals webinar announcement. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend but am very interested in learning more....just looked at the ePals website and wow, what a goldmine! Do you plan to hold another webinar in the future and is it possible for those who can't attend to get access to a scriptum/recording? At any rate, I'm so happy to have found ePals.
Greetings from Vienna
Janice
I will try to get on-line since I have my holiday right now. Will check if I can use E-Pal....will dig into that matter asap!
