About Me or Reason for Joining the GEC:
A college professor in Boston ( sociology and political science) who founded an organization to address ethnic, social and religious strife by bringing groups, communities, organizations in strife together for three weeks to live, learn, experience and work on new ways to see their common humanity instead of overemphasized differences.
Your interests in the pedagogy of the oppressed is something that I have attempted to incorporate in my teaching career. Currently as a high school world history teacher in St. Paul Academy I am trying to develop curriculum for my senior honors seminar class for Spring 2010. It is called the BRIICS classroom which is going to look for collaborations from the BRIICS countries. I have a school in India and I am still searching for schools from Brazil. China, Russia and South Africa. Please let me know if you have any ideas related to the topic or might be interested in joining my BRIICS ning.
Thank you for your message.
I am at Beaver Country Day School.
I am trying to connect my Department with other schools around the world.
Any work we could do together would be great.
I hope to hear from you.
