The Denominator!

Fractions. They seem to occupy such a large amount of the maths curriculum, and no matter how many ways of looking at them you engage the kids in, I often wonder to myself, “Do they really get it?”. In fact, I often wonder to myself, “Do I really get it myself?”.

I was discussing on SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE. In one school, I explained SQ,EQ AND IQ as follows-

1) IQ- means "MATTER IS TOTALY OVER MIND"

2)EQ- means- "MIND IS OVER MATTER TO LIMITED EXTENT"

I Speak for the Trees!

The journey from secondary to primary teaching has been full of rewards, but it certainly hasn’t been easy. I find myself often having to teach well outside my field of expertise. However, when I saw our sustainability inquiry coming up, I knew exactly how I would introduce it – The Lorax.
