Reading for pleasure or reading to study .....What is the difference...Do we read for pleasure?!.....

Thank you Rana for bringing this issue to our attention in this conference!

Loved the quote:" Reading improves the theory of mind"

One of things that grabbed my attention in Rana Dajani's presentation was creating Reading Rooms. I see it as a very good message for urging new generation to read. Many thanks to Mark Otter and Julie Keane. We need Professional Developments, but what we need also is: "Earning Digital Badges" aiming for better jobs, and serving better wherever we are.

Make it simple to go deeper in the concept and skills that you are teaching

I find the topic that Emily Longenecker choose for her presentation as very interesting. She includes in her presentation some very simple terms that we can use in the classroom and with other colleagues to make learning interesting, fun and deep. The KWL chart, object based learning, cross-curriculum tasks or projects etc are very important in the process of learning. Terms such as global competencies, engaging, deeper, globalized standards, collaboration etc enrich this…
