Opportunity for global perspective coming up

Howdy, I was just pointed to the fact that a special moment is coming up: 02:03:04 05/06/07. After 12:34:56 on 7.8.90 was during summer break, this is a great opportunity for an interesting class - especially on a global perspective: - This particular moment happens 24 times. - Who gets to celebrate it first? - The Old European: "The American jumps the gun by about a month, celebrating on 06.05.07 rather than 05.06.07." - The Kuwaiti/Iraki/...: "What is he talking about? This is the year 1428 AH, there is no such moment this year." - The Iranian/Afghan: "No, there really isn't, but we actually live in 1386!" You can also try to figure out how often patterns like that occur: There will be 03:04:05 06/07/08 next year, and 01:23:45 6/7/8, plus some of the kids in school today will actually live to see 01:23:45 6/7/89 and the next 12:34:56 7/8/90. I am in on the project! Although in the US, I will be teaching a technology summer camp session on the 5th of June (05/06/07). I'll plan on taking a picture at 12.34 pm EST. Let me know about the Flickr tag.

Great idea! am or pm? :-))

Shall we go for Flickr? Tag 020304050607 isn't taken yet. Geotagging them would be great.

Should there be a theme?

Wouldn't it be fun if classrooms around the world took pictures at the appointed time and posted them to a site like Flickr? I see an impromptu project in this!
