Buzzword "GLOBAL"

Wordle: My Perspective of the GEC 2014

The world of the week for GEC-was, and will forever be, GLOBAL. What an Exciting, Education packed, Collaborative Collection of Global minds, best practices, ideas and knowledge this week was. All across the world, Leaders, Administrators,Educators, Students, Parents, Stakeholders, Creative and Insightful minds, came together with one mission in mind:-To Educate the Masses of Global change in Education in this Diverse and Digitally Forward thinking  and Adaptive World. Many came to Acquire, and Inquire. To Learn from each other and Share with each, what works and doesn't work. What can work, and what should be adopted or adapted. A complete Infusion of Collaborative Global Minds.

After such an insightful week, I can only stop to ponder how truly Integrated we really are. Hats off to the GEC team, for having put together an orchestrated such a compact, yet Explosively Informative event. I can say with certainty, that I have acquired a wealth of resources and without a doubt, expanded on my PLN and community of progressive thinking educators. Every aspect of this conference presented itself with challenges. Be it tech glitches, language barriers, time differences, illnesses, exhausted days and nights-All in preparation and fulfillment of this GLOBAL integration of Collaborative, and Networking Great minds.

Was it successful? In my opinion, If the objective was to provide an avenue for exploration of new ideas, sharing best practices and research, adopt new technological and digital tools or resources for Educating the learner, leaders/policy makers, administrator, parents etc-Then I say "Without a doubt, GEC was a TREMENDOUS success."

I now look forward to continue integrating and sharing much of what was learned in this Global Classroom Environment. To continue to utilize, collaborate, and where necessary, ensure learners and all others, are not just Digital Citizens, but are Globally Sensitized, Digitally Respectful, and Adaptive Citizens in society, who have a the desire and drive to Keep Moving Forward as Learning Advances and Evolves in our Globally Reforming Communities.
