|A successful AFS Global Intercultural Education Symposium: Learning to live together - from Ideas to Action that took place in Paris in November 2014 served as an important step for the AFS global community to engage in discussions on the importance of global citizenship education and the role that AFS and other non-formal educators can take to advance this movement.
Today, we are glad to share with you another important step the AFS Network is taking to build on the conversations in Paris and to turn ideas into action. The first Asia Pacific Regional Intercultural Conference, Learning to Live Together - Intercultural Education: From Ideas to Action will be taking place between 15-17 April, 2015 in Bali, Indonesia.
The deadline for submissions for the conference has been extended to 15 February 2015 thanks to a very positive response and popular demand to the initial announcement. We look forward to receiving your submissions and appreciate your support in distributing the attached call for proposals to your networks.
