BETT (Learning Creatively Through Technology) wonderings

I am attending (at least once I make it to London) BETT for the first time. I don't know what BETT exactly stands for but I like the sub heading. I am a bit nervous about the emphasis on vendors. I took a break from NECC and enjoyed the quality of the conversation at BLC tremendously. I am recently taken with my experience at NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English). I love those folks -- I love books and people who love books, but it was nearly impossible to navigate the program to find sessions from other parts of the world -- maybe it's their emphasis on the national part but I have come to anticipate the additional perspectives and points of view from presenters outside the U.S.

Just wondering …

i totally agree about the more global nature of BLC and the many opportunities for conversations as being such an integral part of its appeal. i had hoped to attend again this year, but missed the first title funds cut. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I envy you your opportunity to travel to London and agree with you about the disappointing lack of international presenters at many of our U.S. conferences.
